Privacy Policy

Introduction

LeadPing, a PlannedPing product, is a local-first mobile app — available for Android on Google Play and for iPhone and iPad on the App Store — that helps solo professionals save warm WhatsApp leads, set follow-up reminders, and open the right WhatsApp chat when it's time to follow up. Privacy is built into how the app works — your data stays on your device by default, no account is required to use it, and we do not operate a cloud-based platform that stores your leads.

This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, how it is used, and how your data is handled when you use the LeadPing app ("the App") or visit this website.

Information stored on your device

When you use LeadPing, the leads you save — including names, phone numbers, notes, follow-up reminder times, and your follow-up history — are stored locally on your device. This is true on both Android and iOS: that information is not transmitted to or stored on our servers, and the two versions do not share data with each other.

Information we may receive

Support communications

If you contact us by email for support or feedback, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to your inquiry.

Limited app diagnostics

On both Android and iOS, the App collects limited, non-identifying diagnostic and usage information — such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash reports, and content-free interaction events (for example, that a lead was added or a screen was viewed). These events never include lead names, phone numbers, note or message text, or anything else you type into the App. This information is not linked to an identity, is not used to track you across other apps or websites, and cannot be used to identify you.

How we use information

The limited information we may receive is used to:

• Provide and maintain the App.
• Respond to your support inquiries.
• Fix bugs and improve the user experience.
• Understand aggregate usage patterns.

No cloud sync, no account required

LeadPing does not require an account, login, or sign-up. We do not sync your leads, notes, or reminders to a cloud database as part of normal operation. The App is designed to work fully on your device.

How LeadPing works with WhatsApp

LeadPing helps you open the right WhatsApp chat for a lead so you can follow up faster. The App does not automatically send messages on your behalf, does not read your WhatsApp conversations, and does not access your WhatsApp account data. If you saved a follow-up note for a lead, it may be prefilled in WhatsApp for your review — you always tap Send yourself.

Notifications and reminders

LeadPing uses your device's standard notification system to remind you when it's time to follow up with a lead. On Android this uses the notification permission and scheduled alarms; on iPhone and iPad it uses local notifications, which iOS asks your permission for. Reminders are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device — no reminder data is sent to us. You can adjust or disable these notifications at any time in your device settings.

Permissions

LeadPing asks for as little as it can, and only when a feature needs it:

• Contacts — requested only when you choose to import a lead from your address book, so the App can show you a picker. Your contacts are never uploaded, shared, or stored anywhere outside your device, and declining simply means you enter lead details manually.
• Notifications — used to deliver your follow-up reminders. Declining means the App still tracks leads, but it cannot alert you when a follow-up is due.

LeadPing does not request access to your camera, microphone, photo library, or location on either platform. To open WhatsApp, the App declares app visibility on Android and the WhatsApp URL schemes on iOS. These let LeadPing check whether WhatsApp is installed and launch it — they do not give LeadPing access to anything inside WhatsApp.

Advertising

LeadPing displays ads to support the App on both Android and iOS. Ads are served by Google AdMob (Google LLC), a third-party advertising platform. To serve ads, Google AdMob may collect and use:

• Your device's advertising identifier — on Android, the Android Advertising ID. On iPhone and iPad, LeadPing does not present Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, so it does not have permission to access the identifier for advertisers (IDFA) and does not do so.
• Device information (model, OS version, language, time zone)
• IP address and approximate location (country/region level)
• App interaction data (ad impressions, clicks)

This data is collected by Google AdMob and governed by Google's Privacy Policy. LeadPing does not receive or store any personally identifiable information from the ad SDK.

Personalised ads (EEA, UK, and Switzerland): LeadPing does not display a personalised-ads consent prompt. If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, ads are served on a non-personalised basis by default.

You can limit interest-based advertising at the device level. On Android, reset or opt out of your Advertising ID under Settings > Privacy > Ads. On iPhone and iPad, tracking permission is off unless you grant it, and you can review it under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

In-app purchases

If the App offers paid features, those purchases are processed through Google Play on Android and through the App Store on iPhone and iPad. Purchases are handled entirely by Google or Apple under their own policies. We do not directly collect or store your payment information, and we receive only the entitlement state needed to unlock what you bought. The Android and iOS versions are sold separately on each store.

Third-party services

LeadPing interacts with the following third parties:

• WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — LeadPing opens WhatsApp chats so you can follow up with your leads. LeadPing does not access your WhatsApp account data, contacts, or message history, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta.
• Google AdMob (Google LLC) — used to serve ads within the App. See the Advertising section above for details on data collected by this SDK.
• Google Play (Google LLC) — used to distribute the Android version of the App and process any in-app purchases made there.
• Apple App Store (Apple Inc.) — used to distribute the iPhone and iPad version of the App and process any in-app purchases made there.
• Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (Google LLC) — used on both platforms to receive the content-free usage events and crash reports described above.
• Website hosting — this website is served from a standard web host.

Your choices

• You can use LeadPing without creating an account.
• You can choose whether to make any in-app purchases.
• You can choose to contact support or not.
• You can uninstall the App at any time, which removes locally stored app data.

Children's privacy

LeadPing is intended for adults using it for professional purposes. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or this website. Your continued use of LeadPing after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
